DKJA has successfully placed students at top universities both nationally and internationally, including Harvard, Duke, Vanderbilt, University of Chicago, Princeton, Cornell, Northwestern, Darthmouth and University of Pennsylvania.

Four Year Program

Our College Counseling Program is a four-year student-focused partnership with students, faculty and families. Together, we strive to help students determine their individual academic program in order to achieve their collegiate goals.

  • Freshman Year: students participate in Mentor Groups, which provides them with the skills and resources needed for success in High School, and ultimately in the college application process.
  • Sophmore Year: students continue to refine standardized testing skills and are guided in selecting appropriate elective courses for the remainder of High School.
  • Junior Year: students collaborate with the College Guidance Counselor to identify their appropriate choice of colleges as they begin to draft their essays and plan visits to college campuses.
  • Senior Year: students begin their applications, revise their essays, select teachers for their recommendation letters, and continue to visit their top-choice colleges. Seniors individually work with our counselor to compile and submit application materials.
