Curriculum Overview

Learning is at the heart of who we are. In every classroom, in every interaction, and across every grade level, students are inspired to think deeply, explore boldly, and grow with confidence. We cultivate a community where curiosity is encouraged, critical thinking is celebrated, and each student is inspired to explore the world through a meaningful and unique lens.

We empower students to succeed in tomorrow’s world.
At DKJA, every learner is seen, supported, and celebrated. With intentional design and flexible approaches, we meet students where they are and empower them to engage deeply, express their individuality, and find meaning in what they learn. Our students don’t just absorb facts, they ask big questions, solve real problems, and use technology responsibly, all while discovering a lifelong love of learning.
Rooted in the Jewish values and traditions, our school fosters a culture of questioning, reflection, and responsibility. Students learn not only to excel academically, but to act with empathy, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose.

Our classrooms buzz with creativity and collaboration, where real-world problem solving, interdisciplinary exploration, and thoughtful use of technology prepare students for an ever-changing world. At DKJA, learning extends beyond the classroom; learning is a lifelong pursuit, anchored in identity, community, and a commitment to making a difference.

Lower School

Our Lower School curriculum provides our students with a clear and well planned integrated curriculum. Our curriculum allows students to excel and grow within our core academics of math, literacy, science, social studies, Hebrew language and Judaic Studies. Teachers plan together allowing students to experience learning across curricular disciplines.  Our students participate in a wide range of enrichment classes and experiences, including art, ceramics, music, technology, physical education, grade-specific curricular field trips, Tikkun Olam initiatives, and programming focused on Jewish life and Israel.

Middle School

Our Middle School program sparks a love for learning through student-centered experiences rooted in critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and inquiry. Students are encouraged to explore new interests and broaden their horizons through a variety of clubs and choice-based electives, offering opportunities to try new subjects simply for the joy of learning. Learning also extends beyond the classroom through immersive field experiences, service learning, athletics, technology, and the visual and performing arts. As they grow into confident thinkers and curious scholars, our students develop the skills, independence, and leadership needed for success in high school and beyond.
