Curriculum Overview

We create an extraordinary and diverse community of learners through excellence in teaching and learning in a nurturing environment.

We empower students to succeed in tomorrow’s world.

Donna Klein Jewish Academy is an environment that encourages collaboration and innovation to prepare our students for a world of inquiry and critical thinking. DKJA is rooted in the tradition of Judaism, which is well over 4,000 years old and holds its roots and foundation in learning and questioning. DKJA is an internationally recognized Jewish Community Day School that develops deep thinkers, problem solvers and innovators.

Our educational model focuses on the individual student's strengths and the importance of each student's role in our community. Our classrooms are overflowing with excitement through innovative teaching and problem solving outside the box through inquiry and innovation and with technology. Students experience learning in and out of the traditional classroom and through a multitude of interdisciplinary activities.

Lower School

Our Lower School curriculum provides our students with a clear and well planned integrated curriculum. We have numerous enrichment classes our students participate in such as art, ceramics, music, Makerspace, computer science, curricular grade specific field trips, Tikkun Olam and grade level Judaic/Hebrew programming.

Middle School

Our Middle School program continues developing critical thinking skills. Students are encouraged to question and uncover deeper meanings from their academic studies. They develop their minds beyond the walls of their classrooms with exciting overnight field trips connected to our curriculum.
