The Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt High School at Donna Klein Jewish Academy proudly offers students the opportunity to participate in our Medical Studies Program affiliated with the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University and West Boca Medical Center. This area of focus allows High School students the opportunity to explore their interests in the field of medicine and science, along with club opportunities, internship opportunities and meetings with local medical professionals.
As part of our affiliation with the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University, students in the Medical Studies Program and the Pre-Med Club experience unique learning opportunities in the medical field by visiting with faculty, medical students and researchers at FAU during the school year. These learning experiences may include the following: a conversation with medical students; a lecture on medical ethics; a visit to a research laboratory; a meeting with an admissions officer; and an afternoon in a clinical simulation laboratory, among other enriching offerings.

Students enrolled in the program’s science-based curriculum will learn alongside medical professionals at West Boca Medical Center as part of the clinical track. The clinical curriculum will benefit students by providing opportunities for them to engage in hands-on learning opportunities and internships at the hospital.

In addition to the basic requirements of the Medical Studies Program, we highly encourage students to consider independent research in the fields of medicine and science, under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Our faculty and administration will assist interested students in identifying appropriate opportunities and internships.
