The Talon is a student-run publication produced by members of the Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt High School journalism class. Eight editions are published each year, offering engaging, relevant, and high-quality coverage of school news, student and teacher spotlights, athletic highlights, local events, athlete of the month features, Q&As, and student opinion polls.

Select editions may also include contributions from Middle School students, who are invited to explore their voices as emerging writers and share stories that inspire them.

The Talon reflects the high caliber of writing, research, and editorial work expected from our student journalists, who are committed to upholding core journalistic principles such as accuracy, fairness, integrity, and ethical reporting.

In addition to producing the newspaper, the high school journalism class is responsible for the creation of the school’s annual yearbook. Throughout the year, these students work collaboratively to document and celebrate the people, moments, and milestones that define our school community.
