Head of School Honor Roll Breakfast

This week, DKJA Head of School, Helena Levine held the first-ever Head of School Honor Roll Breakfast to recognize the highest achievements of our 8th-12th graders. Students that have all A’s in their courses were invited to join Helena Levine, Head of School and Rabbi Marshall Lesack, Principal of Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt High School, along with some of our Rosenblatt High School alumni.

Alumni in attendance were Ari Holzhauer (Columbia University) and Hannah Wolf (Columbia University), Lielle Elisha (Duke University) and Josh Salama (University of North Carolina). During the celebratory breakfast, the recent DKJA graduates were kind enough to share their undergraduate experiences with eighth graders and current high school students. Topics discussed during their visit included what it is like to be an undergraduate on a college campus in addition to how they incorporate Judaism into their everyday life.

“The pride I feel for our students accomplishments is something which fuels me both personally and professionally," said Head of School Helena Levine. "I felt it was essential to create an opportunity where we could pause from our hectic lives to congratulate our students academic accomplishments while also bringing our very own exceptional graduates to share what lies ahead."
