1/7/2022 Head of School Message

Dear DKJA Community,

I would like to wish our greater DKJA community a healthy and happy 2022. I look forward to informing you of exciting second-semester programming through my weekly HaShavua message.

This week we welcomed students and faculty back to our campus following our winter break. Like we have always done, our primary focus and concern was to ensure that your children would return to a safe and healthy learning environment for the start of the spring semester. As the first week of the second semester comes to an end, we are grateful to everyone in the DKJA community for continuing to follow the protocols and procedures that afford us the opportunity to come together in a safe manner.

We have a terrific semester ahead of us filled with meaningful learning, exciting milestones, and beautiful Simchas. I continue to be extremely thankful for your support throughout this pandemic, and truly feel that we will soon see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. I am also hopeful that we will be able to reintroduce our mask opt-out policy in the weeks to come.

I would like to extend a thank you to our exceptional faculty and staff -especially our school nurse and principals -  all of whom make learning and our school environment a top priority every day. Together as a community, we have ensured that the quality of our students’ education has never waivered during these trying times.

As we head into the weekend, the activities and behaviors that take place off-campus continue to impact our community on campus, and we thank you for ensuring that our faculty, staff, and students can continue to enjoy learning on campus. Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend.

Shabbat Shalom,
Helena Levine
