6/3/2021 Head of School Message

Dear DKJA Community,

It is hard to believe that this school year is coming to an end. I am incredibly proud of our faculty, staff, and administration for their constant dedication to our students’ education while navigating a global pandemic. When we began hybrid learning in the fall, it was immediately apparent that faculty and students, both remote and in-person, were ready and eager to have a successful year. This commitment has continued throughout the school year and has been evident as we watched our students thrive socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually.

This week was filled with many special celebrations on campus. Our Eighth Grade students were recognized and celebrated in our Eighth Grade Moving Up Ceremony. We also held a K-8 Walk-A-Thon, where our students walked and ran to support Israel and to stand up against antisemitism. In addition, our faculty, staff, and administration came together for a special end-of-year party where we celebrated our historic accomplishments. Finally, each division and our administration held intimate and moving end-of-year celebrations. This year has been a year like no other, and we are forever grateful to our community for our many successes.

As this school year officially comes to an end, we can officially start planning for next year. We will provide updates throughout the summer months so that our community is well prepared and informed for our August 24th start.

I would like to wish our entire community a wonderful and safe summer, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back for an excellent 2021-2022 school year.

Thank you,
Helena Levine
