Although our athletics calendar is now complete, DKJA started a new tradition this week. K-12 students participated in the first ever Apache style relay race, which we plan to continue every year.
This exciting event included a variety of sporting events across campus. Our school was divided into four teams with students from all grades represented on each one. We are so proud of our school and community for having so much spirit and pride, which enabled us to come together to celebrate in such a special way! The fun lasted until the baton was passed to the very last event, when the gray team clinched the victory with a half-court basketball shot.
Thank you to DKJA parents Alyssa Reise, Kim Moed, Angela Poller, Nicole Zeller and Jodi David for helping make this possible as well as to our staff, faculty, administration and especially the athletic department, including Coach David Trell, who’s execution helped make our first school-wide relay race such a great success.
