Jeffrey L. Klein

Vice President
Jeffrey L. Klein served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County from 1986 until his retirement in 2012, constituting one of the longest tenures in the Federation history. Prior to his assumption of this position, Jeffrey was a real estate and corporate attorney in Cleveland, Ohio, and after relocating to Florida, he was president of a company he owned with two partners. In 1982, Jeffrey decided to merge his Jewish passions with his professional career, and a program was constructed at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation to “fast track” his transition to the Jewish communal field.

Jeffrey earned both his Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degrees from Case Western Reserve University.

Immediately upon his retirement, Jeffrey joined the Board of Donna Klein Jewish Academy.  Shortly thereafter, he assumed the Chairmanship of DKJA’s Strategic Planning process, culminating in DKJA’s visionary 2013-2018 Strategic Plan.  He currently serves on Head Support Committee, and he is the Chair of both Strategic Planning and Facilities Planning Committees.

Jeffrey has a very personal interest in DKJA, as he and his wife, Carla, are the grandparents of four current DKJA students with one having graduated in 2018.
