4/23/2021 Head of School Message

Dear DKJA Community,

It has been an exceptional week as we celebrated “Spotlight on DKJA”, a five-day event created to celebrate our extraordinary school. Although we were not able to come together fully as a community, these special programs provided opportunities to safely celebrate with one another. Through our Road Rally Scavenger Hunt, online auction, Pinnacle event, and school-wide spirit week, the sense of community was palpable and experienced by all. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jessica Fleischman and Stephanie Gordon, co-chairs of the event, for their vision, hard work, and dedication. Thank you to Nicole Rosen, Anita Schwartz, Allie Schwartz, Silvana Delbo, Zoraida Adams, and the DKJA community members who contributed to the wonderful videos showcased in last night's event. I would also like to thank our board, students, faculty, staff, administrators, and parents for your commitment to making “Spotlight on DKJA” a great success. Please click here to watch a montage of our week’s events.

If you missed the live viewing of our “Pinnacle Event” last night, I encourage you to watch the program, which shines a light on the greatness of DKJA. Please click here to access our “Pinnacle Event” link.

I also would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have already made a donation to DKJA this year. Your donations help us continue to provide our students with an education of extraordinary power and purpose. If you would like to make a donation or increase your gift, please click here or the button above.

In addition to Spotlight on DKJA, we also held our annual sports recognition night this week. I had a wonderful time celebrating our student-athletes outside on our tennis courts as we celebrated this 20th historic season. Our athletes and their immediate families had a great time celebrating a shortened yet successful season. Thank you to David Trell, our Athletics Director, for his dedication and commitment to building our sports program into one we can be so proud of.

Congratulations to our DKJA community for a wonderful, historic, and exciting week at DKJA.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

Shabbat Shalom,
Helena Levine
