Shomrei HaAdamah (Guardians of the Earth)
Shomrei HaAdamah (Guardians of the Earth) - A School-Wide Garden Program. The goal of this program is to connect the students of DKJA to their natural world, and help develop a more meaningful commitment to the Earth as it relates to Jewish Life. This truly defines tikkun olam (repairing the world).
The Guardians of the Earth program promotes an avid culture of environmental stewardship and Jewish eco-active leaders on our campus. The student’s plant and harvest foods that are included on our lunch menu. Collaboration with our dining services program helps promote healthy food choices and food waste reduction. Today, our students were so excited to share that the asparagus has grown so beautifully and is ready to be eaten! #TheDKJAWay
