Go Greg! Go Browns! and Go DKJA!

It has been such an exciting week for the DKJA Eagles!!! Today, we celebrate as a school, the signing of one of our former students, Greg Joseph to the NFL’s Cleveland Browns. Greg spent the entire pre-season as a member of the Miami Dolphins and we are excited to follow him on his journey to Cleveland.

During Greg’s time at DKJA, he was one of our top athletes while playing soccer. “Playing sports at DKJA taught me the value of teamwork,” Joseph said about his experience at DKJA. “It is there where I learned that being successful is more than counting on oneself. Everyone needs a team to rely on at all times both good and bad. I’m lucky I was able to learn this from different coaches and teachers at DKJA,” Joseph explained. “This is a lesson I took with me from middle school all the way throughout high school and college.

Joseph made his NFL debut with the Browns during their Thursday night football game with the New York Jets. After 2 years without a win, Cleveland finally took home a W, beating the Jets 21-17 and we are so excited Greg was a part of this! To show our excitement and support for his first game on Thursday, DKJA faculty, staff, administration and students came dressed in Cleveland Browns' colors.

“We are not only proud of Greg’s athletic accomplishments, but the values that he lives by and the connection he has with our community and the greater Jewish world," said DKJA Head of School, Helena Levine.

Greg, DKJA is rooting for you this football season!
