Patty Beck

Patty Beck is a longtime lay leader in the South Florida Jewish community. She is a Past President of Temple Beth El, in Boca Raton, FL, the largest Reform synagogue south of Washington, DC. She has been on the Board of Trustees  and has held leadership positions with Temple Beth El for over thirty years. During that time she has served on or chaired committees dealing with every aspect of synagogue life and management from clergy searches to catering and everything in-between.

Patty is also involved nationally in the Reform movement and has served on the Hebrew Union College –Jewish Institute of Religion’s  Board of Governors since 2007. Patty is also active in the Union for Reform Judaism and has chaired the subcommittee for Membership and Dues Policy Review. 

Additionally, Patty is on the Board of Trustees of Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Boca Raton.

In addition to her Jewish communal activities Patty worked in hospitality industry for over 30 years with Janus Hotels and Resorts. She also founded a jewelry and gift company called Not Just Jewelry in 1990, which is still in operation today.  Patty is a licensed real estate agent, a private pilot, and an award-winning baker. Patty's diverse career started as a 6th grade public school teacher in Cincinnati, OH.

Patty lives in Boca Raton, Florida and has three grown children and eight grandchildren.
