Donna Klein Jewish Academy is committed to serving Jewish families from all economic backgrounds.

FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the financial need analysis for Donna Klein Jewish Academy for the upcoming 2019-20 academic year. DKJA considers the FACTS recommendation in addition to overall need and our overall tuition assistance budget when determining awards. All tuition assistance requests are treated with the utmost confidentiality. It is important that tuition assistance applicants and recipients maintain that confidentiality as well. Discussion of tuition assistance status may result in revocation of tuition assistance award.

Families applying for tuition assistance will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. Applicants can apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com. As tuition assistance is awarded on a fund available basis, it is recommended to submit all documentation when it becomes available to you.

All families applying for tuition assistance must first determine whether their household income qualifies them for Step Up For Students, a scholarship program created to help families whose educational choices are limited by household income. Families who qualify for Step Up For Students, must apply for a Step Up For Students scholarship in addition to tuition assistance. Once an online application has been completed, the following information is required to send to FACTS in order to complete the application process:
  • NEW this year - Last 3 months of personal and business (if applicable) bank statements
  • 2017 Individual and Business tax returns, along with all supporting schedules – must be sent at time of application
  • 2018 W-2 form(s) and 1099 form(s) - when available but no later than February 15, 2019
  • 2018 Individual, Business tax returns, and K-1 form(s) along with all supporting schedules - when available

Tuition Assistance Timeline:
  • 2019/2020 DKJA Tuition Assistance Application will be available on November 1, 2018.
      New families to the school are welcome to submit a tuition assistance request as soon as 
      students have been accepted. 
  • December 31, 2018 - Applications must be submitted to FACTS
  • March 1, 2019 - All Tax Documents Due to FACTS
*Post deadline submissions are considered on a funds available basis.

The Enrollment Contract and reservation deposit must be submitted in order for your tuition assistance application to be considered. Notification of a tuition assistance award will be sent at a later date. You will then have ten (10) days from the date of the award notification letter to decline your tuition assistance amount. If you decide to withdraw at that time, you will not forfeit the reservation deposit provided your cancellation/withdrawal is emailed to businessoffice@dkja.net and is received within the ten (10) days of the acceptance period. To be eligible for this option, you must have completed the portion in section two (2) of the Tuition Assistance Application that requests the estimated amount you can pay toward your child’s tuition.
